I received an email today from someone who had purchased a fairly large number of Terra and Firma's eggs, he has informed me that two have hatched. The eggs he purchased were barely, if not even, two months old. Mine are coming up to four months and no signs of life are apparent. I'm utterly ecstatic for the man, believe me but while I am happy that nymphs have started showing themselves, I am saddened by the fact that they are not from the eggs that I have kept back. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
At this point in time, I have a bucket downstairs with a large block of coconut fibre in it (aka. Eco Earth). I'm going to transfer my eggs off the wetted and regularly sprayed kitchen towel and into a container with coco fibre in the hopes that the retained water and heat will encourage hatching.
Time to change tactics and see if we can get some babies showing.
We'll see the results in about a week, I think. I do not know. I could be waiting for another year yet. We'll see.
