Sometimes the word "no" is simply in place to protect us from ourselves. Sometimes "no" is spoken so that we can learn patience. Sometimes "no" is spoken out of the utmost love. Sometimes it's not "no" that we hear, whispering into our hearts, but "not yet". Sometimes the "not yet" is harder to bear than the "no" because it fills us with "when?"
When you go to embark on a journey, whether it's to bring something into your home, to buy something major, to take a job or even in human relationships, please make sure the peace from Christ is with you in it. Make sure that you are confident it is God's will. If you have any inkling of "no" or "not yet", sit and wait. Please just sit and wait. Save yourself pain and frustration.
The answers to your prayers will come. The "no"s will become lessons learned and pain avoided, the "not yet"s will become realities that abound in blessings and joy. The peace of the Lord will be with you as you walk on His path. He gives you peace. Is there peace in your decision today? Has God whispered that beautiful "yes" into your heart? Or the protective "no"? Has He uttered a command of patience in His "not yet"? Fear not, He is with you in all things. If your heart is broken because you did not heed Him, He is faithful. He continues to love you and He will heal your pain. Just listen for Him.
He cares for you.
